Combined 2 Day Driving Event This is a 2 day event with Dressage and cones on the first day and the Marathon and Hazards on the second day. This is also a pretty formal event.
Horse Driving Trial This is a 1 day event with Dressage , cones and Hazards all in one day. This event is a little bit more laid back than the Three and Two Day Combined Driving Events.
Arena Driving Trial This is a 1 day event all held in an arena. It has the Dressage, cones and Hazards only with the marathon eliminated. It is a great sport for the not-so-conditioned horse. ADT's are also great for wintertime. Most of the these are very laid back.
Training Level Verses Preliminary The dressage test in Training level goes over the basic gaits. It does not have a lengthened walk or trot. The walk is on a long loose rein (to test the training of your horse - you wouldn't want your equine to go running off when you loosen up the rein now would you?) The cones are wider apart in training level. The hazards are not timed in training level except in ADT's.. Pneumatic tires are permitted in Training level.
