Joe "the White Yearling Donkey". Joe was  apparently raffled off at a state fair at a very young age and subsquently rescued by the folks on the "donkey yahoo group lists" and then given to me to train and place in a loving home.
Luv-Bug Arrived Dec 8th 2004

I'm not sure what the deal is with Willow and her owner.   She was sent to me when the owner sold the rest of her minis and decided to redo her barn.   She was brought over to me for the mere rent of a bale of hay a month.   I've only seen her owner once since Willow arrived in June 2004 and that was in September 2004.   Willow's owner has been informed of her condition of congenital eye defect which the eyes bulge out, pupils are mishapen and don't close  normally.   It's the same eye defect that is so common in Rocky Mountain horses.   It has something to do with getting a double dose of the "silver" gene.  We hope we can keep her as our own.

Luvbug at rescue time.   She had to be "bought".  Rescues are not Free.   Most of the time you can buy a healthy horse much cheaper from a reputable breeder.

Sparkle at time of rescue - she was one of the "healther" babies.  But she is very skitish and shy.
I know she'll come around.
