Well, little Clementine (what my sister named the runt foal) is still at the
hospital but doing better, we are going to see if she relapses before we
make a definitive diagnosis of a liver shunt. My vet has agreed to try the
surgery on her if that's the case and hope for a good outcome. If she is
unable to do a trailer ride by next weekend, my sister will take the next
smallest chestnut pinto. Here's my question to you....that leaves the overo
who has become really friendly but needs to stay high and dry to clear up
her fungal problem and just needs more weight,
and the grey pinto that I
call dapple who is the oldest (7 months) and in the best condition weight
(still needs to gain some rear mass and muscle) and skin wise (does have
some rain rot spots that we are working on) but will need the most work in
getting use to people. I can tie her up and brush her all over and did her
feet but fast movements make her jerk away. Loose in the stall she comes up
to you for grain but seems very unsure. I don't think I would have problems
placing the other foals since they should warm up to people quickly and I
just need to get them past their health issues...however I don't have the
time to spend with the dapple foal to bond and get her to loving and
trusting people. Is this something you would want to do??? I'm just trying
to figure out who would be best going to what home. I really don't mind
which you decide to take but I knew you spent a great deal of time with your
guys and just wondered if dapple baby would benefit most from your time and
care?? She got to go out today and got all the rest of her caked on poop
washed off her hind end....and a little trip to the babrber for a nice
bridle path (he left halters on too tight and they all have a case of the
smashed and knotted mane thing going on behind their ears). Here are 2 pics
I got of her all cleaned up :)

Sorry about that, I forgot to answer your age question!
She was foaled on
April 18th, so she is 6 1/2 months :)
